How To Activate Your Dormant KASNEB Account
To reactivate your dormant KASNEB account one needs to follow the following steps.
- Visit the KASNEB student portal and download the student application form.
- Fill out Part A which is mandatory and requires your personal details.
- Fill out Part E that requires information on annual registration renewal/ reactivation.
- Fill out Part F which requires payment details summary (Reactivation) and the fees in Kenya shillings (Ksh) paid.
- Indicate the payment details at the bottom of the student application form.
Note: After filling the student application form a student should make the appropriate payment. After making the payment the student should check his/ her KASNEB status via short message service (SMS). To check renewal status, students should send the word “Renewal” with your registration number to 20558, using the format: Renewal/NAC/00000.Upon confirmation that the student has active KASNEB status, he/she can enroll for classes and register for examinations by the stipulated examination registration deadline.

50% Waiver on Reactivation Registration Fees
KASNEB is currently offering a 50% waiver on reactivation fees for dormant students that wish to resume their studies. The waiver is only available for a limited period of time. Specifically, the waiver will only be applicable for students that pay the reactivation registration fees between 1st February 2024 and 22nd March 2024.
Hurry!! Pay for the registration reactivation fees by 22nd March 2024 to take advantage of the ongoing 50 percent waiver.
Registration Reactivation Charges
Effective 1st July 2021 the fee structure for registration reactivation for different KASNEB courses is as follows:
- Vocational Certificate Qualification (Entrepreneurship and Innovation (E&I) / Graphic design (GD) /Block Chain Technology (BCT) and Information and Cyber Security (ICS)) – Ksh. 1,500 approximately $25.
- Certificate Qualification Examination (Certificate in Accounting and Management Skills) – Ksh. 2,000 approximately $35.
- Diploma Qualification Examinations (Accounting Technicians Diploma (ATD) Diploma In Data Management And Analytics (DDMA) / Diploma in Computer Networks and Systems Administration (DCNSA)) – Ksh. 3,000 approximately $50.
- Professional Qualification Examinations (Certified Public Accountants (CPA) / Certified Secretaries (CS)/ Certified Investment and Financial Analysts (CIFA) / Certified Credit Professionals (CCP)/ Certified Information Systems Solutions Expert (CISSE)/ Certified Quality Professional (CQP)) – Ksh. 4,000 approximately $65.
- Post Professional Qualification Specialization (Certified Forensic Fraud Examiner) – Ksh. 5,000 approximately $85.
- Holders of Foreign Accountancy/Secretaries/ Investment and Financial Analysts Qualifications (FAQ/ FSQ/ FIFAQ) – Ksh. 15,000 ($250).
